What actually changes.

Three patterns Lisa has watched play out across 22 years of teaching. The numbers vary; the arc is consistent.

These are illustrations of the typical journey, not client testimonials. As Abide families share their stories with permission, they will appear here, named.

Story 01

4th-grade math, homeschool

Length
About 8 sessions
A child who dreads math starts asking when the next session is.

A typical arc: behind on multiplication facts and stuck on long division. By session four, the fact gap has closed. By session eight, long division is routine and fractions are opening up.

Story 02

6th-grade writing, after-school

Length
About 12 weeks
From one run-on sentence to editing her own drafts.

Sentence-level work first. Then paragraph structure. By week eight, a complete five-paragraph essay to be proud of, and the habit of rereading writing before turning it in.

Story 03

2nd-grade reading, catch-up

Length
About 6 sessions
Reading aloud stops ending in tears.

Phonics gaps from a disrupted kindergarten year. Rebuild blends and short-vowel patterns, then add fluency reps with books slightly below grade level. Two reading levels in six weeks is a common outcome.
