Homeschooling doesn't mean teaching everything alone.

I talk to homeschool parents every week who feel a little sheepish about reaching out. As if asking for help on one subject means they've failed at the whole thing.

It doesn't. Homeschooling is a project of stewardship, not solo performance. The parents I respect most are the ones who know what they teach well, know what they don't, and bring in a steady outside voice for the gap.

For most families that gap is math past fifth grade, or writing, or middle-school science. Those are exactly the subjects we cover. The homeschool stays intact. The parent stays in charge. The child gets a second adult who knows the material cold.

If that's where you are right now, you're not behind. You're paying attention.
